The two primary distinctions are the Atta and Maida. Taking more Atta is healthier than taking Maida. Atta is known as whole grain flour, and Maida is white flour.     Corn flour – It is used to make the Punjab Makki ki roti

    Rice flour – it is used to prepare dosa and idly

    Urad dal flour – It is used to make pappadums and also fried doughnuts

    Besan – it is used to make batter for pakoras and bhajis 

    Moong flour – It is used to prepare dhokla and dosa

    Pastry flour: It is used to make cookies, muffins, waffles, pie crusts, biscuits, and scones

    Cake flour: It is used to make pound cakes, angel food cakes, layer cakes

    Bread flour: It is used to make yeast loaves of bread, bagels, artisan slices of bread, cookies

    These are the important and useful flours the cooks use in Indian recipes. They have different tastes and are good to eat.

    All-purpose flour is the flour that is used in the United Kingdom. This flour is equivalent to plain flour. This all-purpose flour is almost used in all the items such as biscuits, bread, flaky pie crusts. It is also used to coat meats and veggies and is a thickening agent in sauces, gravies, and soups. This all-purpose flour is made from wheat grains, and the brown coverings are removed. After removing, it is then milled, refined, and bleached.     The coconut flour is extracted from dried coconut meat into a soft, fine powder. It has a more calorie-dense base than any other traditional flour. It also has good protein, fat, fiber, and minerals like iron and potassium. It is primarily saturated and largely comprised of medium-chain triglycerides. It is also rich in antioxidants. It has a mildly sweet flavor and prepares cakes, cookies, bread, and other baked goods.

    Almond flour:

    It is made up of grinding blanched almonds into a fine powder. It is a good source of magnesium. Omega 3 unsaturated fats, protein, and vitamin E. this flour has advantages such as improved resistance, cholesterol, and blood pressure. It is also used to protect brain health. It is used to prepare pancakes, cookies, scones, and biscuits.

    Quinoa flour:

    It is made up of grinding the Quinoa into a fine powder. It is a good source of protein, fiber, iron, and unsaturated fats. It is great for preparing pancakes, muffins, pizza, and pie crusts. It has a moist, tender texture to baked goods. 

    Buckwheat flour:

    It is made up of a plant known as the buckwheat grain-like seeds. It has an earthy flavor and is used to make traditional soba noodles. It has a good source of fiber, protein, and micronutrients like magnesium, copper, iron, and phosphorous. It is used to prepare pancakes and quick bread and also used as a coating for meat. 

    Whole wheat flour:

    It is used in bakeries and supermarkets and is considered healthier. It has protein, fiber, a variety of vitamins, and minerals. It is used to make homemade bread, pancakes, cookies, and pizza.
