UK savers have seen their figures now being looked at after the National Savings & Investments (NS&I) Premium Bonds draw was carried out, which has produced two new millionaires and over 5.9 million prizes across the country. This has led to the bondholders now being able to check their chances on the popular prize checker to find out if there’s a prize between £25 and £1 million for them.
NS&I paid out over £376 million in prizes for the June draw, with two players winning the top prize of £1 million each. One jackpot winner is based in Leeds and has £42,425 in Premium Bonds held on his behalf, while the other jackpot winner is based in Cheshire West and Chester and has £33,800 in Premium Bonds held on his behalf. The two winners were both bought in the last few years, proving that even relatively new investments can lead to winning.
The total value of the prizes in the June draw amounted to £376.6 million, with 5,954,593 prizes being drawn. Alongside the two jackpot winners, there were 71 prizes of £100,000, 143 prizes of £50,000 and 286 prizes of £25,000. Thousands more prizes – from £25 to £10,000 – were also given to bond-holders across the UK.
Savers can view their outcomes either online using the official NS&I Premium Bonds prize checker or on the specially created mobile application. All users have to do to access the service is provide the number of the bondholder, which may be found on the bond records or in their NS&I account. The checker also enables the customers to check prizes won in recent draws and to find out any unclaimed prizes from the past.
There are millions of pounds of unclaimed premium bond prizes available, according to NS&I. Others may be unaware of their success, as they may have moved house or changed their contact information. Very significantly, unclaimed prizes are never lost and will always be collectable when the rightful owner appears.
Premium Bonds are still one of the most popular savings products in the UK, and over 24 million people are taking part in the monthly draw. Savers are put into prize draws each month, and tax-free winnings are paid. The current odds for any £1 bond winning a prize are 23,000 to 1, but NS&I has announced improved odds and a higher rate of prize funds from July 2026.
The June results have already brought some life-changing news for many savers. But for those who missed out on the next draw of Premium Bonds will bring the opportunity to become the UK’s new millionaire.
