Skateboarding Park World Championships 2022 in 2023:  Sky Brown claims  first world title

Britain’s Brown won gold in park skateboarding at the World Championships in Sharjah on Sunday with a best score of 90.83 from her three runs.

The three medallists from Tokyo 2020 finished in reverse order on the podium in the  World Championship final in Sharjah, streamed live on Olympics.com.

The teenager was already top of the standings with a score of 89.63 from her second run but saved her best until last to finish more than four points ahead of Japan's Kokona Hiraki.

Brown became Great Britain's youngest Olympic medal winner of all time when she won park bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Games at the  age of 13.

Under her father’s supervision, Brown took up the sport when she was three, learning tricks on YouTube and eventually enrolling in Great Britain’s skateboarding program.
